On O5/15/2012, at 0107 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Lake Rd. at the Avon Lake line
for a traffic violation. After speaking with the driver, the officer suspected the driver had been
drinking. Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the driver wasarrested for
OVI. He will face charges at RRMC.

On O6/13/2012, at 1207 hrs, a resident in the 23000 block of Lake Rd. called BVPD to report her
house had been burglarized. Upon arrival, officers discovered a door had been forcibly
entered. Flat screen TV’s and jewelry were reported missing. Police are investigating.

On 06/12/2012, at 0230 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle in the Huntington Bank parking
lot for a traffic violation. After speaking with the occupants, the officer requested a K-9 unit
from Westlake PD respond_. The K-9 alerted on the vehicle, indicating the presence of drugs.
Officer conducted a search of the vehicle and located suspected “spice” in the vehicle. The 18
yoa passenger admitted the suspected drugs belonged to him. Police are awaiting test results
from the lab, and charges are pending.

On 06/11/2012, at 0253 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on West Oakland near Cahoon for
traffic violation. After speaking with the driver, the officer suspected the driver had been
drinking. Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the 31`yoa male driver was
arrested He will face charges at RRMC. ‘

On 06/17/2012, at 0255 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Westlawn near Bassett for a
traffic violation. Afterspeaking with the driver, the officer suspected the driver had been
drinking. Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the 21 yoa female was
arrested for OVI. She will face charges at RRMC.

On 06/17/2012, at 1025 hrs, a Juneway resident called to report during the previous week,
someone had fraudulently used her Debit Card to make a $500.00 withdrawal. She had

recently lost her purse and cell phone while out oftown. While returning an attempt to
locate them, a friend that she was with received a phone call from the victim’s phone. The

caller claimed to have he-r phone and purse. She returned to where she had iost her purse and
recovered her property from the good Samaritan. The contents of her purse appeared to be

intact. She discovered the fraud later in the week while checking her account. Police are
investigating.
