Bay Village Police Press Release: Burglar Pleads Guilty

Bryan S. Kubit, 42 years of age of North Olmsted, entered a plea of guilty to two counts of
burglary and one count of breaking and entering. Kubit had forcibly entered a residence in the 29400 block of Lincoln Road in Bay Village on December 3, 2012 and stole a laptop and LCD TV. A cooperative investigation between Bay Village PD and Cleveland PD resulted in Kubit being identified as the perpetrator of the burglary in Bay Village. After being charged on December 17, 2012, Kubit entered a plea of guilty on February 14, 2013 to three separate offenses in front of Judge Richard McMonagle.

One burglary charge and the breaking and entering were from incidents in Cleveland and one of the burglaries was from Bay Village. As a result of his plea, Kubit was sentenced to one year at Lorain Correctional Institution prison and four years of Community Control Sanction. Violation of his Community Control Sanction after he is released could result in up to eight additional years in prison.
