A Detroit Rd. movie theater employee’s $80 shoes were stolen from a break room on April 2; a 16-year-old male employee was suspected of involvement, but denied any such. On April 5, the suspect’s mother recovered the shoes; her son had admitted taking them after all. The suspect already had a pending case in Lorain Co. Juvenile Ct. and so was detained by the judge there due to the shoe theft.

A 30-year-old North Olmsted man is prohibited from going to his child’s Detroit Rd. preschool due to a judicial protection order. He tried to see the child anyway on April 3 at 1:55PM, but was sent on his way by staff that recognized him. A warrant for Violating a Protection Order will be sought.

A Fairview Park man’s wallet and jacket was stolen from his locked locker at Ballys on April 3 between 8:30AM-9:44AM. The wallet contained credit cards, $700 cash, and misc. papers. No suspects.

Witnesses reported a 53-year-old Lorain man fighting with a female at Dave and Busters on April 5 at 9:25PM. When confronted by the off-duty officer working security, the intoxicated male became vulgarly belligerent and refused to get out of the vehicle he was seated in. When he did exit, he was told to stop, but refused. He was placed under arrest for DCI; his 49-year-old girlfriend did not want to pursue charges.

A 26-year-old Center Ridge Rd. man burned a 40ft pile of brush on April 7 at 9:37AM; the conflagration was such that it could be seen ½ mile away. WFD put out the fire and the male will receive a summons for Open Burning Prohibited.

A Bobbie Ln. woman was dismayed to find 2 fraudulent charges against her checking account on April 7. They had been made at an online retailer and totaled $672; they had been made on April 3 and 5. No suspects.
