A group that started with three women has grown to ten. Four years later they have collected over 16,000 pounds of food for families in Lorain County. Food is a basic need which no one should go without.
According to the most recent US Census Bureau report, over 66,000 people in our region live at or below the federal poverty level. Over 42,000 of those people live in Lorain County. The latest hit was the House passed a Farm Bill that cuts out food stamps. This will put an even larger strain on the food pantries to provide food for these families. This is a real problem and Chicks Against Hunger wants to make a difference.
Help make a difference by making a non-perishable food donation.
