On 08/02/2013, at 1756 hrs, a patron of Heinen’saccidentally left his wallet at a cash register. The wallet was anonymously returned to the customer service desk the following day. There was $5.00 missing from the wallet, and someone had made approximately $250.00 in purchases at local stores. Police are investigating.
On 08/03/2013, at 0317 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Wolf Rd. near Fordham for a traffic violation. After speaking with the 31 yoa male driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking. Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the driver was arrested for OVI. An inventory of the vehicle turned up an open container of beer, and evidence of possible drug trafficking. He will face charges at RRMC for OVI. The drug charges are still being investigated.
On 08/02/2013, at 2358 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Lake Rd. near Clague for a traffic violation. While speaking with the driver, the officer observed drug paraphernalia on the floor of the car. The officer had the two 16 yoa male occupants exit the vehicle to search for further contraband. After exiting the vehicle, an officer noticed one of the males had something stuffed down his pants. The male removed a flask containing vodka from his pants. One male was charged with Underage Consumption and Possession of Alcohol; and the other was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. They will both face charges at CCJC.

Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result the driver was arrested for OVI. He will face charges at RRMC.
On 07/31/2013, at 1724 hrs, an Aberdeen resident called BVPD to report her house had been forcibly burglarized. Several items had been moved around the interior of the house and $90.00 in cash was missing. Police are investigating.
On 07/31/2013, at 1229 hrs, BVPD officers were dispatched to the Skate Park on the report of a male throwing a knife at a tree. When officers arrived they located the juvenile, who admitted he was throwing a knife at a tree. Officers confiscated the knife and sent him on his way.
