Dangerous Driver

On 11/04/2013, at 0750 hrs, a motorist called BVPD to report she had been rear ended at the intersection of Lake Rd. and Dover Center.  The driver of the car that hit her begged with her not to call the police because he had a suspended driver’s license.  The caller stated she the driver of the other car was slurring his words and reeked of alcohol. He climbed back into his car and fled the scene before giving the caller any of his information.  She was able to obtain his license plate and give it police.  Police were unable to locate the vehicle.  The driver was later identified, and charges are pending.

On 11/03/2013, at 2041 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Lake Rd. near Bradley for a traffic violation.  After speaking with the female driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the 48 yoa Avon Lake resident was arrested.  She will face charges at RRMC.

On 11/03/2013, at 0052 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Lake Rd. near Douglas.  After speaking with the female driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the 54 yoa Avon Lake resident was arrested for OVI.  She was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  She will face charges at RRMC.

On 11/02/2012, at 1915 hrs, BVPD received numerous calls of a vehicle stuck on the railroad tracks at Bradley.  Upon arrival, officers discovered someone had cut the turn short, and driven about 20 feet onto the tracks before becoming stuck.  A tow truck was called to remove the vehicle.

On 11/02/2013, at 0346 hrs, a resident in the 29000 block of Lincoln called BVPD to reports kids were in the area smashing pumpkins and had Tp’ed her house.  Officers were dispatched to the area, but were unable to locate the juveniles.
