Westlake Police Blotter: Holiday Miscues

Westlake Police logo$550 was taken from a Detroit Rd. restaurant’s safe by an employee on Nov. 25 at 9:45pm. The theft was caught on camera and the suspect was given a chance to return it by management; he failed to do so.  A Petty Theft warrant was requested for the 29-year-old Westlake man.

 

Thanksgiving Fracus

An 18-year-old Pineview Dr. man was arrested for Domestic Violence after a Thanksgiving morning fracas at his home. He had argued with his mother over money and use of the family car (note that his license is suspended), then tossed items around the house and threw mom to the ground.

 

Resisting Arrest

A 22-year-old Westlake man tried to avoid a warrant arrest at his grandmother’s Taylors Mill Turn home on Nov. 29 at 9:45AM. He jumped out a second floor window, but was arrested on Detroit Rd. shortly thereafter. That caper added a new Resisting Arrest charge to his woes.

 

Miscellaneous Misdeeds

A portable DVD player was taken from a Louisville KY woman’s 2005 Dodge minivan on the night of Nov. 28. It was parked in a Chestnut Dr. driveway; no signs of forced entry and no suspects.

A Brewster Dr. resident found damage to her door and door frame on Nov. 29 at 4:06PM. No entry was gained to the residence. No suspects.

A 35-year-old Cleveland man was arrested for DCI and Possession of Marijuana after trying to pick fights on Nov. 30 at 8:09PM. The staff at a Detroit Rd. bar pointed him out to responding officers after he refused to leave at their request.
