Bay Police Blotter: Down and Out After Car Crash

bay police logoOn 01/26/2014, at 0303 hrs, Bay Village Police  received a 911 call from a motorist reporting a person lying on the sidewalk in the area of Lake Rd. and Elmwood.  Officers responded and discovered that a car had struck a utility pole, injuring the driver.  The 46-yoa female driver was intoxicated, and was taken to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.  She will be charged with OVI, and answer to those charges at RRMC.

 

Check Altered?

 

On 01/26/2014, at 1220 hrs, an Edgewood resident reported that she had recently had some work done at her house.  She paid the worker with a check but later found the amount she wrote the check for had been changed.  Police are investigating.

 

High School Damage

 

On 01/25/2014, at 1119 hrs, a jogger reported that a storage shed on the north side of the High School appeared to have been broken into.  An officer responded to the scene and met with a school official.  The shed had been broken into, but nothing appeared to have been taken.

 

OVI

 

On 01/25/2014, at 0217 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Lake Rd. near Bassett for a traffic violation.  After speaking with the driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the 43-yoa male driver was arrested for OVI.   He will face charges at RRMC.

 

On 01/26/2014, at 0141 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Lake Rd. near Bradley for a traffic violation.  After speaking with the 43-yoa female driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result the driver was arrested for OVI.  She will face charges at RRMC.
