ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION EXERCISE PROGRAM
Mondays and Fridays at 9:00. Beginning April 4.
Cost: $35 residents and $37 for non-residents.
Developed by the Arthritis Foundation, the program is a low-impact chair exercise session using movements created by physical therapists that address pain and fatigue while increasing strength.
NATURE FIELD TRIPS with Bev
Thursday, April 5 3:00-4:00 Once again, we’ll meet Bev at the Rocky River Nature Center. This month the program will be The Power of Water where we’ll follow the course of the Rocky River to discover how powerful water can be as it carves its way through the valley. We’ll
view the river from above and, depending on conditions, explore the river beds below. Boots are recommended. Terrain: some paved, some flat, muddy and wet,1 mile. Bay Senior Van (donation $3 will be available and
departing from Dwyer approx. 2:30 or you can meet the group at the Rocky River Nature Center. RSVP 835-6565.
ZENTANGLE – AN EASTER THEME

Kay C LaVelle returns for the third session of Zentangle…this time with an Easter

Join us as the Western Reserve Historical Society shares memories of Cleveland from 1954 with hands-on souve-nirs. PROGRAM AND STILL LIVING INDEPENDENTLY”
Gardens of Westlake will present Linda Burgess, Certified Dementia Practitioner/Adult Enrichment Coordinator who will provide a wealth of helpful ideas that can be used to develop a successful Memory Care Program.

AMERICAN VIGNETTES: FASCINATING, LITTLE KNOWN, EPISODES IN U.S. HISTORY & CULTURE
On the third Thursday of the next six months Michael O’Boyle, will offer a class on some fascinating subjects. Michael is retired from the Cuyahoga County Library system and was Manager of Training and Development of Staff as well as a continuing education instructor with Cuyahoga Community College. Each class will be $5. And will begin at 1:00. Reservations are now being accepted for April.

A step on guide will review historical Lakeview Cemetery and some of the interesting people buried there with stops at the Garfield Memorial and Wade Chapel. And we’ll cross fingers the thousands of daffodils will be in bloom. Afterwards we’ll go for lunch on your own at Barle Soup and Sandwich in the historical Cleveland Heights Rockefeller Building. Cost of trip will be $15. Limit of 14. Depart Dwyer at 9:15. Please note there is no handicap accessibility for the Garfield Monument to which there are many steps.
