Live Well Play Hard Westlake!

Westlake Recreation Center logoThe City of Westlake will be kicking off its Live Well-Play Hard campaign with a special event on Saturday May 17th.

Wake Up Westlake will feature DJ Eazy, face painters, balloon clowns, inflatables, snacks and a mini truck expo all at the Westlake Recreation Center from 10:00 AM till Noon.

At this time representatives from Westlake Rec focus groups may ask residents to fill out a short survey about the city’s recreational needs.  This survey will help gather information for the city’s master plan study of green and recreational facilities.

The City of Westlake would like to hear from its citizens about the current and future needs for recreation.  Be part of the discussion and let Westlake know what you need to play harder.

In addition, the annual Family Fishing Derby will be taking place from 9:00 AM till Noon at the Westlake Recreation Center’s fishing pond.  This program is open to all children up to age 12.  The cost for the fishing derby is $10 and includes bait and prizes.  You can register at the Westlake Recreation Center or online

Come on and wake up with Westlake on Saturday May 17th.  Join your friends and fellow residents as we “Live Well but Play Hard”!
