Take a trip to the old country with a short drive to Kensington Square Plaza in Westlake. Mezza Mediterranean Cuisine will transport you to the land of authentic Mediterranean recipes!

Mona, owner and chef extraordinaire, will greet you with a big smile and welcome you to a relaxing, wonderful dining experience headlined by a delectable meal.

Mezza is celebrating its 10th anniversary. With a pinch of this and a dab of that, home-grown recipes always come out better than the store-bought kinds. Mona adds a large portion of love at Mezza.

“All our menu items take me back to my grandmother’s kitchen where I learned these recipes growing up,” says Mona in explaining the influence of her Egyptian lineage and Greek nurturing on the Mezza cuisine.

“Cooking is about family. It starts with love and it is followed by only the best ingredients – no shortcuts,” said Mona, who prepares most meals herself.

Mezza has been voted Best Mediterranean Restaurant on the Fox 8 Hotlist and also for the Best Gyro in Cleveland by the Plain Dealer.

The ambiance is authentic, too, with new remodeling featuring Mediterranean murals to further transport the diner to the relaxing motif that brings dining enjoyment.

Crowd-pleasing menu items include Hummus, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, Tabouli, Stuffed Grape Leaves, Baba Ganoush, Falafel, Souvlaki and Gyros. Shawarma Salad gets a standing ovation with Marinated Grilled Chicken, Tomatoes, Onions and Parsley served with Tahini Dressing. The sweet stuff is over the top with authentic baklava and other notable pastries.
