Westlake Police Respond to Clarinet Call

Westlake Police responded to a caller who spotted what he thought was a male with a shotgun in some woods on Clemens Rd. at 4:02 PM on Oct. 15. It turned out that a New York man staying nearby was just playing his clarinet, noodling away, a la Benny Goodman.

Man Hits Wife

A 38-year-old Westlake man was arrested for DV after a 5:22 AM disturbance at his Bradley Rd. home.  His 12-year-old daughter ran next door to tell the neighbor that her parents were fighting; that neighbor called WPD. The suspect had hit his 37-year-old wife in the mouth and kicked her before leaving the scene. He returned after officers arrived and was also cited for DUS. His license is under 6 different suspensions.

iPhone Theft

A Stonehedge Dr. woman reported that her 16-year-old daughter refused to come home on October 12. She also took her mom’s $500 Iphone. A Petty Theft and Unruly Juvenile report was taken.

Pumped Up

A woman driving a rental car pulled away from the pump at a Center Ridge Rd. gas station with the nozzle in the car’s filler port on Oct. 16 at 7:47AM She refused to ID herself to the clerk. The rental company is checking on who rented the vehicle.

Cars Entered

Two cars belonging to a Glen Valley Dr. were gone through on the night of Oct. 15. Rx medications, a phone charger, and garage door opener were taken from the car in the driveway (probably left unlocked).and from a second car in the garage, which the suspect entered through an open pedestrian door.
