A resident in the 23000 block of Lake Rd. called Bay Village Police on May 3 at 2032 hours to report a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway of a vacant house.  As the caller was on the phone, the vehicle exited the driveway and drove north on Clague from Lake.  Officers located the vehicle parked in the field north of Clague.  After speaking with the 23 yoa male driver, officer’s suspected the driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the driver was arrested for OVI.  The Rocky River resident will face charges at RRMC.  Police are still investigating what he was doing at the vacant house, or if he caused any damage to the property.

Car Damaged at Bay Pres

On 05/02/2015, at 2000 hrs, a patron at Bay Village Presbyterian Church called BVPD to report her vehicle had been broken into.  As officers were taking the report, they discovered that it appeared as though someone had also attempted to steal the vehicle.  Police are investigating.

OVI

On 05/01/2015, at 0234 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Dover Center near Donald for a traffic violation.  After speaking with the 47 yoa male driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the driver was arrested for OVI.  The Westlake resident will face charges at RRMC.

Drug Paraphanalia

On 05/01/2015, at 0024 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Dover Center near Midland for a traffic violation.  The 20 yoa female driver gave officers consent for a vehicle search.  As a result of the vehicle search, drug paraphernalia was located.  The North Olmsted resident was cited for the violation.  She will face charges at RRMC.

$13K Missing from Bank Account

On 04/29/2015, at 1553 hrs, a resident in the 23000 block of Lake Rd. called BVPD to report someone had fraudulently accessed his bank account.  Over $13,000.00 had been taken.  Police are investigating.

Tax Fraud

On 04/28/2015, at 1848 hrs, a Kenilworth resident reported that someone had attempted to falsely file his Federal Taxes.  Police are investigating.
