The 300-plus participants who took part in the first-ever Resolution Run 5K at Crocker Park literally got off on the right foot to start 2016 on Jan. 1.
The run featured a Resolution Board where runners could share their goals for the New Year.
‘In 2016, I Can…..
- ‘Look Awesome in My Wedding Dress,’ wrote one runner.
- ‘Be My Best Me,’ said another.
- ‘Do Whatever I Want and Be Happy,’ wrote a third.
Then, there was this less-serious note from a participant who vowed to ‘Run Less, Drink & Smoke More!’ Oh, well, it was the morning after New Year’s Eve! Maybe he hadn’t recovered yet….
The race started at 11 a.m., expertly managed by Jim Christ and Vince Rucci of Western Reserve Racing. Everyone had a great workout and plenty of time to get home for an afternoon of football and New Year’s Day dinner.
