Purse Thief Strikes at Nursing Home

Westlake Police report that a Lorain woman’s purse was taken from her office at her workplace, Lutheran Home, 2116 Dover Center Rd. workplace on Feb. 24.

Three credit cards were misused for a total of $888 in purchases at various Cleveland locations. CCTV recorded a heavyset black female with a big purse entering her office. Stills from that offense are included.

A second victim’s purse was taken from her office at a Detroit Rd. nursing home that same date. Her credit cards were not illicitly used. There are no cameras at her workplace. Although police cannot say that the same suspect is involved with this other incident, the date and items stolen certainly seem more than a coincidence, report Police
