Man Booked for Driving into Trees at Porter Library

A Fairview Park man was ‘booked’ on a variety of charges after he plowed into a stand of trees at Westlake Porter Library last week.

Police report that the 38 year old Fairview Park man crashed his 2012 Buick Encore into the stand of trees at the Porter Library on July 26.

He was passed out when officers arrived. Police had to break out a window to extract him.

The suspect was then  transported to UH St. John Medical Center by Westlake Fire for minor injuries. He will receive citations for OVI, Reckless Operation, and Open Container as he closes the chapter on this phase of his life and hopefully turns the page to a better future.
