Purse Thief Finds Easy Target at Crocker Park

Westlake Police remind shoppers and diners to watch their purses this holiday season.

An Avon Lake woman’s wallet was taken from her purse on Dec. 8. She had hung it on the back of her chair in a Main St. bar. $4000 in charges were made on her two credit cards that same date.

The victim has not yet provided police with specifics as to where the charges were made. Ladies, invest a few bucks in a purse hanger so your bag is less likely to be pick-pocketed.
