Avon High National Honor Society students got into the Christmas spirit this week by collecting 238 toys and nearly $900 to shop for local children.
The toys were given to the Avon Police Department for their annual Christmas toy drive.
Students who did the shopping included (from left) Gabby Siler, Leland Starwalt, and Chloe Yeagley (all 11th graders). The students were accompanied by NHS advisers Amy Heller and Brittany Coughlin to Target to pick out toys for the toy drive.
