It’s Time to ‘Celebrate Westlake!’

‘Celebrate Westlake,’ the annual 5-Mile, 5k, Kid’s Runs and Health Fair held each summer on the grounds of University Hospital St. John Medical Center is set for the morning of Saturday, Aug. 31.

It’s a great way to mark the end of summer, help raise funds for a number of community organizations and, especially, get children involved in the Kid’s Runs! Every kid gets a medal and it’s a great way to instill the fun of physical fitness in children at this family event.

This is the 29th running of Celebrate Westlake and Race Director William ‘Bud’ Hagy looks forward to welcoming one and all. “We are so happy that the 29th anniversary of this race will once again be held on the grounds of our founding sponsor, University Hospital St. John Medical Center. “We are also very proud and grateful to welcome for the third year as title sponsor Q-Lab Corp. of Westlake. Q-Lab has participated as a sponsor every year, but has stepped up to become our presenting sponsor.”

Celebrate Westlake funds benefit a variety of Westlake organizations including Westlake Porter Library, DARE, Youth Challenge, Westlake Community Services and many more. The event has raised over $1.4 million for local charities since its inception. Registration info inside!
