Bay BMX Sensation Teams with Key Club in Ronald McDonald House Bike Donation

In a heartwarming display of generosity, 9-year-old BMX sensation Huck Kurinsky, in partnership with his sponsor Huffy Bicycles, donated nine brand-new bicycles and scooters to the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland. The donation aims to provide a sense of normalcy and fun for children and families facing difficult medical journeys.

Adding even more excitement to the event was the presence of Nick Bruce, US Cycling Team member, Olympian, and fellow Huffy Bicycles athlete. Bruce joined in the celebration at the Ronald McDonald House, inspiring the kids with his own story of passion and dedication to cycling.

This act of kindness was made possible with the enthusiastic support of Huffy Bicycles and The American Association of Pediatrics’ helmet safety program, ‘Put A Lid On It’. Huck and the program teamed up to donate helmets alongside the bikes and scooters, ensuring the children at the Ronald McDonald House have the essential protection to enjoy their rides safely.

Volunteers from Bay High School’s Key Club and Bay Village Kiwanis played a key role in making this donation a reality. They joined Kurinsky and his family to assemble the bikes and scooters, ensuring they were ready to bring smiles to the children at the Ronald McDonald House.

The assembly took place at the Village Bicycle Cooperative, a beloved community bike shop that graciously offered its space for the occasion.

“We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of Huck Kurinsky, Huffy Bicycles, Nick Bruce, the ‘Put A Lid On It’ program, and all the volunteers,” said a representative from the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland. “These bikes, scooters, and helmets will bring precious moments of fun and freedom to the families we serve.”

Huck Kurinsky’s act of kindness is a powerful reminder that even young people can make a significant difference in the lives of others. His passion for BMX, dedication to giving back, and commitment to safety make him an inspiring role model in the community and in the world of cycling.
