Easter Fun from the Westlake Town Criers

Thank you to the Westlake Town Criers for hosting the 2025 Easter Egg Hunt and Candy Scramble at the Westlake Recreation Center Saturday April 12.

The Easter Egg Hunt and Candy Scramble continue a tradition of community service begun in the mid-50’s by the Town Criers, including events like the annual Tree Lighting and Mr. & Mrs. Westlake tradition.

No kid went home unhappy after scurrying through the playground for candy. As Mayor Dennis Clough counted down to the official start, excited children jumped the gun and the race was on for 3,000 pounds of treats from Market District. There were even stuffed animals and a non-competitive hunt in the 3-and-under category.
