Reducing Financial Vulnerability – Sept. 10: No one is immune to financial fraud and scams. Individuals, businesses, young people, older adults — all are targeted by scammers around the world. In this lecture, discover how you can spot scammers and keep your money where it belongs — with you.
Effects of Inadequate Sleep – Oct. 8: Ever heard someone say, “I’ll sleep when I’m dead?” Join this lecture and have an answer the next time you hear that. Learn how missing out on sleep negatively impacts multiple parts of our lives.
Impact of Lack of Physical Activity – Nov. 12: We love to relax — but is too much relaxation a bad thing? We’ll discuss the impact of a sedentary lifestyle and lack of physical activity on our physical and mental health.
SPRING 2026
Unemployment and Job Creation Strategies – Feb. 11: Analyze the multifaceted approach needed to combat unemployment and foster job creation, encompassing government policies, skills training and entrepreneurship, with a focus on supporting small businesses.
Heart Disease and Diabetes – March 18: Diabetes doubles someone’s likelihood of developing heart disease. Find out how to spot the signs of these illnesses to prevent their onset or worsening symptoms.
Fostering Economic and Social Independence – April 15: Explore the crucial role of education, economic opportunities and social support systems in achieving economic and social independence to lead to a more just and prosperous society.
