With a 48-39 win over visiting Fairview last Saturday, the Avon High girl’s basketball team saw the stage set for a great West Shore Conference showdown with Rocky River this week.
The win over the Lady Warriors upped Avon ‘s WSC record to 8-1, while Rocky River is unbeaten in league play.
Improving to 11-4 overall, Avon’s big game against River is Wednesday night.
Emily Julius paced the win over Fairview with 16 points. Avon controlled the game early, jumping to a 15-6 lead, but Fairview closed the gap in another example of highly competitive WSC play.
