The 28th annual edition of Celebrate Westlake was hosted at UH St. John Medical Center the morning of Sat., Sept. 1 as founder and race director Bud Hagy welcomed over 600 participants to the annual Labor Day weekend road races.
Runners of all ages took part in their choice of 5 Mile or 5K road races. Kids had a chance to get in the game in a special one mile runs.
Volunteers from the hospital and community make this day happen each year. Over $1.9 million has been donated to community causes like DARE and Westlake Porter Library through Celebrate Westlake over the years.
