Not So Spooky Halloween in Avon

A Not-So-Spooky Halloween brought hundreds of kids to Avon’s Every Child’s Playground on Sat., Oct. 20 from 2-4 p.m.

Kids in costume descended on the park, which is located next to the Avon Aquatic Center, for two hours of merry mayhem as they enjoyed a host of fun activities.

From a Hay Maze to a Bounce House, from Face Painting to Fall Crafts, there was even a Storybook Trail through the wooded trail at the park.

A special treat was the appearance of the group Superheroes to Kids in Ohio, whose mission is to make a difference to those facing adversity in the community. The presence of Batman, the Joker, Batgirl and other superheroes had kids smiling as they enjoyed a day of trick or treat Superheroes to Kids in Ohio makes costumed visits to children’s hospitals, special needs centers, and charitable events whenever they are needed throughout Northeast Ohio. The group staged the very special Superhero Kids Save Avon in September.

In addition to costumed visits from traditional superheroes, they also provide Princess visits to children in need.

“It is our goal to spread good will and smiles, through random acts of kindness,” reports spokesman Brian Chulik.
