Avon Schools Observe Patriot Day, Sept. 11

Avon Schools honors first responders on Patriot Day, Sept. 11. First responders were greeted with applause, ‘thank you’ cards and hi-fives.

: Avon East Elementary School first-graders Liam Franko, 6; and Claire Marks, 6, held signs to thank Avon’s finest on Patriot Day (Sept. 11). Police officers and firefighters walked the halls of the school, as well as the Avon Early Learning Center, and were greeted with applause and ‘thank you’ cards for all they do to protect and serve the community.
