This summer’s graduating classes from Westlake Safety Town had multiple special visitors. Fire Captain Tyler Kelly dropped by to review with the kids all they learned during the program and Tim Cornelius of the Ohio District Kiwanis came to drop off some helmets paid for with generous donations from supporters of the program. It’s hard to believe there have already been four graduating classes from the Westlake Safety Town Program this year! Westlake Safety Town Director Olivia Kostecke invited Mayor Dennis M. Clough and Acting Fire Chief Mike Freeman to talk to the graduates and their parents about what they learned and hand out certificates and other goodies. The program’s many new and returning volunteers also received certificates thanking them for their help. As usual, Safety Pup also made an appearance to much adulation from the students!
