High School/Jr. High BATTLE of the BANDS – Sponsored by the Avon Lake PTA Council

Saturday, April 15th from 1-8 pm Ten (10) local high school bands will compete in Avon Lake PTA Council’s 1st ever HIGH SCHOOL and JR. HIGH Battle of the Bands! Taking place at the Avon Lake High School, bands will have an opportunity to showcase their amazing talents for their classmates, friends, family, and the entire community. On the line for the top 2 bands will be CASH, studio recording time, and music product prizes. Please help us share this unique and exciting fundraiser and support these immensely talented young musicians.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS: We know Cleveland and Northeast Ohio are home to some incredibly talented musicians. Surprisingly, many of them are not even old enough to perform at the local venues. Combine that knowledge with school PTA’s desire for engaging fundraising activities; thus was created Avon Lake PTA Council’s The 1st ever High School and Jr High Battle of the Bands!!

Sat April 15th from 1-8pm at the Avon Lake High School Ten (10) of the area’s immensely talented high school age bands will take the stage for 20 min each, performing 4-6 songs. Genres include rock, pop, indie rock, punk and classic rock, representing high schools including, Amherst, Aurora, Avon, Avon Lake, Bay Village, Jefferson, North Royalton, Normandy, St Edward, St Joseph Academy, Walsh Jesuit, and more! Several of the bands have compete and advanced in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame’s annual Rock Off Competition!

Bands scheduled to perform are: Antimatter • Blue Illusion • Lake Effect • Luminescense • Radioactive Mars – Featured Junior High Band! • Revival • Seconds of Silence • Sixth Dimension • Skippys on the Run • The Daze

Several local companies have joined the Avon Lake PTA Council in their effort and are showing their support. The council is honored to have Kopf Builders as the event’s title sponsor. Local recording studios Broadwaves Studio in Lorain or Spider Studios in Olmsted Falls have donated studio recording time. Additionally, national music giants Guitar Center and Sweetwater Sound have donated product packages.

The competition will be held at Avon Lake High School, 175 Avon Beldon Rd, Avon Lake Ohio 44012. Doors open at 1 pm, Music begins at 2 pm. Tickets can be purchased online for $8, $10 day of the show. Cheesy Dave’s food truck will be on site starting at 2 pm.

All proceeds benefit the Avon Lake PTA Council student scholarships and other programs. ALPTA Council is a nonprofit 501c3 and a portion of all donations are tax deductible.
