Did you notice the big tent erected alongside Ascent Church on Crocker Road this week?
It is one Tent of Meeting – an event that is being held at ten locations across the region.
The Westlake Tent of Meeting is an actual 60 x 30 foot Tent set up at Ascent Church 3550 Crocker Road in Westlake.
“It is a place where people can come and receive God’s love through acts of kindness and find healing for the brokenhearted or those who are suffering. Many will come who just want to grow spiritually in their relationship with Christ and experience God’s presence,” says Pastor David Nico Hill.
Starting May 8th, for 40 days, the event will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., 7 days a week. Thousands of Christians will be providing practical help to the suffering areas such as addiction, the brokenhearted and the resource challenged. They will also be praying for the sick and other personal and business needs.
“We will link arms together with churches all across Northern Ohio and have praise, worship, prayer, and short preaching. There will be sports personalities, business leaders and others giving testimonies of how God has worked in their lives.”
Former MMA Fighter, Pastor David Hill, who appeared in 35 movies will be speaking at the opening gathering as well as other times.
As part of the PATH NE Ohio Pilot, “We are hoping to ignite a Spiritual Awakening by Ministering Christ’s love to everyone from all ages and stages of life. The Tent of Meeting concept comes from the Bible where Moses and Joshua, his protégé, met with the Lord in times of crisis to receive His directions for their lives and to all the people of the nation.
“As our nation is facing an all-out attack on our Judeo-Christian foundations that made our nation strong and the leader of the free world, we are calling people back to God and the Biblical Values that can make us a strong nation and a God-fearing people once again.
“II Chronicles 7:14 is the theme of this Awakening and Cleveland is the pilot city for this outreach that we hope to spread to major cities across America! We are teaming up with 9 other churches that will be spread out throughout the Greater Cleveland area all starting May 8th that will have Tents of Meeting set up on their church grounds as well.”
The event is for 40 days straight and goes from May 8th thru June 16th culminating in a massive gathering at Public Square in Cleveland on June 17th. There are 27 other states watching what happens in Cleveland and are planning to make a National Spiritual Movement through the Tent of Meetings.
