Westlake Girls Take First at State Track Meet

Congratulations to the great work of Maggie Hennessy, Sydney Peer, Sarah Colman, Sarah Peer for winning the 4×800 at the state meet and setting a new school record at 9:04.74

The Westlake High foursome beat the school record by 12 seconds in taking the Div. I state title last Saturday at Jesse Owens Stadium in Columbus.

Sydney will continue her running career at College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina and Sarah Colman will continue her running career at St. Francis University in Loretto Pennsylvania

Sarah Peer also finished 2nd in the the 1600m (new school record) and the 3200m (second only to Katie Klute of Olmsted Falls). Macy Brennan placed 5th in discus with a new PR for her as well!
