The City of Avon hosted its annual Safety Fair at the municipal aquatic center last Saturday.
It was a great day to be a kid!
There were chances to meet police officers and firefighters. You could climb on a fire truck or sit in a police cruiser.
Child IDs were available from the Avon Police and Fire Departments.
The Lorain County Sheriff Dept. brought their vehicles and various demonstrations, including robotics and bomb control equipment.
Around the pool area, health and safety exhibits helped families find community resources for their needs. The Fire Dept. offered car seat checks. There were also food giveaways from many of the city’s great eating establishments. 40 vendors overall!
It was a great way to have some fun and connect with many of the community’s family resources.
