Tim and Twyla White
Tim and Tyla White have been named Mr. & Mrs. Westlake 2024 by the Westlake Town Criers.
The announcement came at the Westlake Tree Lighting Ceremony at Westlake City Hall in December.
The Whites have lived on Glenmore Drive since 1983 and have four children, Chris, Scott, Ashlee and Sam. They also have seven grandkids – ALL BOYS!
Tim worked in retail for 32 years and Twyla for 40, all the while devoting countless hours to civic organizations.
They were members of the Demons Club, Junior All Star Football, and Westlake Youth Baseball. Tim is an active member of the Westlake Town Criers and runs the annual fundraiser for the club held every March.
Tim is also an active volunteer at the Westlake Senior Center. He helps procure the candy for the annual Easter Egg Hunt held at the Westlake Recreation Center while Twyla was a member of the PTA and was active in all of her children’s extracurricular activities.
WHS Chamber Orchestra gave their annual performance at the Mr. & Mrs. Westlake and Tree-Lighting Ceremony at Westlake City Hall. Opportunities like these for students to perform are very enriching for their musical education!
The Whites were nominated for the honor for their active community involvement in the city of Westlake. Tim is a 1976 Westlake High School graduate. Twyla is a 1980 graduate of West Tech. Tim’s parents are founding members of St. Ladislas and his grandfather, Sam, was a member of the Westlake service Department. His father, Thomas White, was a Lieutenant in the Westlake Police Department.
They are also active members in the Lakewood Elks Club #1350 here in Westlake.
