Life Enriching Communities Sponsor Equipped Fitness Room at Westlake Community Center

Community Services Director Lydia Gadd graciously thanks Life Enriching Community’s Concord Reserve for their sponsorship.

The Westlake Community Center placed a banner in the Equipped Fitness Room proclaiming Life Enriching Communities’ Concord Reserve Community (LEC) as the sole sponsor of the room and the programs held there on Feb.15.

Westlake Mayor Dennis Clough, Community Services Director Lydia Gadd, and Recreation Director Paula Horner from the center presented the banner. Chris Klawitter, executive director, and Lisa Gerken, manager of admissions, attended from Concord Reserve.

“LEC is proud to sponsor the ‘Equipped Fitness Room’ at the Westlake Community Center,” said Klawitter. “The Equipped Fitness Room, along with the wellness programs offered there, is a perfect match for LEC, an organization devoted to providing a wellness lifestyle for older adults. As the premier continuing care retirement community in Westlake and the surrounding area, this sponsorship is another way LEC will help older adults live and age well.”

Following the banner presentation, UH/St. John Medical Center conducted vital health screenings. Participants received blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose checks. There was also the opportunity to talk with a pharmacist, receive a balance check from a physical therapist, speak with a mental health professional, and more. Representatives of the Westlake Fire Department and the Westlake Recreation Center also were on hand, along with Concord Reserve Executive Chef Jim Smith, who offered tips for healthy eating.
