Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants Opens Avon Location

Celebrates Expansion and Seventh Location in Ohio

Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants, a lifestyle brand centered around food and wine, announces the opening of its seventh Ohio area location in Avon on November 4. The new restaurant is located at 35351 Chester Road in Avon. Cooper’s Hawk is an award-winning winery, restaurant, artisan market, and Napa-style tasting room concept with headquarters in Countryside, Illinois. The company was founded in 2005 by CEO Tim McEnery.

Cooper’s Hawk is built upon McEnery’s passionate belief that food and wine hold the power to forge lasting connections. His restaurants are home to over 300,000 Wine Club Members who enjoy limited production Wines of the Month, unique travel and dining experiences, and many other benefits.

The Avon, OH culinary team is proudly led by Kevin Cassetto. Kevin works closely with Executive Chef Matt McMillin to ensure the utmost in quality and presentation while redefining the modern casual dining experience. The contemporary-American menu is infused with international flavors, and each dish on the menu is listed with a bin number, guiding guests to their selection’s perfect wine pairing.

Cooper’s Hawk offers a variety of lunch, brunch, Happy Hour and dinner options, as well as a dedicated gluten free menu, kids’ menu, carryout and catering. Popular dishes include:

The winery has received over 500 wine awards, importing grapes from the best vineyards across the globe and producing over 40 varietals in its Woodridge, Il winery. Crafted to please a range of palates, Cooper’s Hawk wines include selections that are accessible for those new to the world of wine, as well as complex and full-bodied options for more seasoned drinkers. In addition to the wine menu, guests can choose from a selection of craft cocktails and sangrias made with Cooper’s Hawk wine.

The restaurant’s design evokes a “Modern Artisanal” style and pulls inspiration and cues from the Ohio landscapes. Its pitched roof detail creates a dramatic entryway that evokes an airy-ness that is carried through the interior of the space.

For a distinctly local tribute, the new location will feature an original art piece designed by Ohio artist, Joe Girandola. Titled “The Winery Table,” the mural was created entirely from duct tape, a nod to Avon’s designation as the “duct tape capital of the world!”

This location features a large indoor dining area that can accommodate 300 guests and a covered patio that seats an additional 44 people. The dining room includes a dramatic U-booth feature wall created a nook surrounded by vertical wood slats and Cooper’s Hawk wine bottles on display to keep the art of wine at the forefront.

Many of the lighting fixtures and finishes throughout the space are heavily textured to invoke that artisanal feel paired with natural and organic tones to create a very warm and inviting atmosphere.

The venue also houses flexible private dining space for up to 48 guests that is divisible by a sliding wall that creates two smaller spaces for up to 24 people each. As with every Cooper’s Hawk location, the restaurant is fronted by a Napa-style tasting room and retail space.
