UH SJMC Auxiliary Supports Hospital Programs

The University Hospitals St. John Medical Center Auxiliary celebrated the holidays with a luncheon at Avon Oaks Country Club on Dec.17.

The event celebrated the volunteers and the good works they do for the hospital and through the hospital gift shop.

Funds from the gift shop are used to support vital hospital programs, and funds for these programs are distributed at the luncheon.

This year’s total distribution was $17,237.39. Department recipients included Radiology, Radiology Breast Cancer, Step-Down Unit, Protective Services, Emergency Department, Pastoral Care, Cardiac/Pulmonary, Pharmacy, Community Outreach, Harrington Heart & Vascular, and Care Connections/Patient Access.

Members of this year’s board are: Loretta D’Alessandro, Vice President; Janet Kershaw, Recording Secretary; Terry McKendry, Co/President; Linda Whelan, Co/President; Jan Blankenburg, Corresponding Secretary; Lisa Gallaway, Treasurer
