BHS Senior Named Grand Prize Winner in ‘Celebration of Integrity Scholarship’ Sponsored by BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU

Bay High School Senior Alexa Feicks was recognized at the 2025 Celebration of Integrity Scholarship Ceremony sponsored by the Better Business Bureau. Out of 52 nominees from 52 Northeast Ohio high schools, Alexa was the grand prize winner of the Students of Integrity Scholarship!

Alexa Feicks was awarded a $3500 scholarship. She is a passionate and articulate advocate whose commitment to social justice began at a young age when she observed the disparities and discrimination toward AAPI individuals. Her advocacy has led her to one of her many talents: public speaking. As President of Model United Nations (UN) at Bay High School, Alexa has demonstrated her public speaking ability to those in her school as well as those at Model UN conferences.

Alexa is a dedicated runner, as shown in her ability to co-captain her varsity team, but that dedication extends beyond the track. She coaches elementary and middle school girls in an organization called Girls on the Run. Alexa’s guidance counselor at Bay High School, Meghan Holden, described Alexa as “remarkable, curious, determined, inclusive, and genuine.” She remarked on Alexa’s ability to wholeheartedly commit to her extracurriculars, school work, teammates, family, friends, and even her job at Mitchell’s Ice Cream. Meghan also stated that “Alexa embodies the spirit of excellence and empathy,” which she believes will lead Alexa “to change the world.”

Public and private high schools within BBB’s five-county service area participated by selecting their Student of Integrity who submitted an essay to the BBB. “The Students of Integrity Awards is more than just a recognition program—it’s a powerful reminder that integrity is the foundation of leadership,” said Pamela (Pam) Anson, President & CEO of BBB Cleveland.
