Q-Lab Honors Westlake’s First Responders

On Thursday, 24 July, Q-Lab opened its doors to the Westlake Police and Fire Departments to honor the City’s first responders. Q-Lab has enjoyed welcoming these brave first responders on-site since 2016.

Pat Vesco, VP, Information Systems/Purchasing, welcomed the first responders, Mayor Dennis Clough, and the entire Westlake Q-Lab team with some introductory remarks. Pat first welcomed Westlake entrepreneur, Billy Morris, of Smokin’ Rock ‘n Roll, to play the National Anthem on his guitar, which was a moving moment for all. Mr. Vesco went on to welcome the Mayor, who also shared heartfelt appreciation for his city’s police and fire departments. Mr. Vesco went on to say thank you to the first responders and remind people of the unimaginable situations they encounter on a daily basis, and to also remember the many inquiries, tips, and vast amounts of information their offices deal with every day. Mr. Vesco recounted a recent dilemma Q-Lab encountered, which the Westlake PD helped resolve in a matter of hours, instead of weeks.

Q-Lab also shared once again the exciting news of winning their 11th consecutive Top Workplace award! Pat thanked all of the Q-Lab employees for participating the yearly survey and for helping to create such a terrific workplace environment for all.

Q-Lab CEO, Doug Grossman, reminds his workplace: “Civilized life would be impossible without police protection. The most basic function of government is to protect the citizens from violent individuals who intend to do harm.” Likewise, “when fire gets out of hand, we here at Q-Lab know we can run away to our designated rally points because we know that the firefighting team will run TOWARDS the danger. If we ever have a fire, we have absolute confidence that the Westlake Fire Department can handle it.”
