Crocker Park and Prayers From Maria are excited to announce their partnership and installation of a beautiful new mural within the Park.

The mural has been installed on the west-facing walls of the Crocker Road garage between Chicos and Ann Taylor.

A preview was held last week, giving visitors the opportunity to see the mural created by artist Wes McBride before its official public debut, capture photos and video, and meet Megan and Ed McNamara from Prayers From Maria.

The mural was officially “unveiled” to the public on Friday, August 29 from 4-7PM with a party to celebrate including Kendra Scott, Macy’s, Birdies Food Truck, Rockin’ Refreshments and Prayer’s From Maria’s own novelty ice cream truck.

“We are so excited to welcome this meaningful mural to Crocker Park.” Says Stacie Schmidt, VP of Marketing at Stark Enterprises, “It not only adds to the beauty and vibrancy of our property but also reflects the spirit of connection and community that makes Crocker Park more than just a place to shop or dine — it’s truly an experience. We’re honored to partner with Prayers From Maria to share their mission in such a visible and impactful way.”

Sunflower Field Now Open

Prayers From Maria Children’s Cancer Foundation is happy to share with visitors that Maria’s Field of Hope in Avon was planted earlier this summer and is now in bloom. The 18-acre field is back alongside Interstate 90, off of Jaycox Rd, with the entrance and parking accessible off Middleton.

The field was inspired by the memory and spirit of Maria McNamara, planted as a way to love and honor courageous children battling cancer and those we have lost. Donations at the field directly fund our foundation’s efforts to provide childhood cancer patients with the support they desperately need, by reversing the tragic lack of funding and fueling the most meaningful brain cancer research for kids.

The Prayers From Maria Foundation first planted the Sunflower field in 2014 to gracefully draw attention to the lack of funding for childhood cancer. Efforts over the years have resulted in over $12 million going to the fight to end childhood cancer.

“We are blessed and excited to have this new permanent location for Maria’s Field of Hope that honors the lives of children lost to cancer. It not only enables us to spread awareness of their fight, but also provides a place of joy and reflection for the community. We love that.” Said Megan McNamara, Co-founder and Maria’s Mom.

The foundation is now in the process of raising funds for their 2025 Memorial Grant, named in honor of Oliviah Brown-Hall. To learn more about her story, visit their website.

Everyone is welcome to walk the field from sunup to sundown, rain or shine. Maria’s Shop is open every day from 10am – dusk, per volunteer availability. Several events have already been scheduled at the field:

  • Pet Day – Sep. 13th from 12pm – 2pm
  • Coffee & Donuts – Sep. 21th from 10 am – 12 pm
  • Trick or Treat – Oct. 18th from 2pm – 4pm
