Avon Lake High Shoremen

Congratulations to the Avon Lake High wrestling team. The Shoremen captured their 4th straight Southwestern Conference title at the league meet last Saturday, crowning four individual champs. Gold Medalists: 120 Nate Grieger 3X, 150 Brayden Patterson 2X, 165 Luke Peace, 175 Aide Omoijuanfo and 190 Landen Kunzelman.

Michael Surovi and Joseph Beauchesne

Bay High crowned two champs at the Cleveland West Conference league meet at Westlake on Feb. 14.

Congratulations to Michael Surovi, champ at 132 pounds He won his first place match with a pin over Buckeye’s Daniel Leonard.

Senior Joseph Beauchesne won his title at 144 pounds, a 10-7 win over Gabe Wright of Valley Forge. It was Beauchesne’s second Cleveland West Conference title.
