Larry Nickel born in Lakewood Ohio on July 8, 1936 passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026 in Bay Village, Ohio. Beloved husband of the late Claudia. Loving father of Randy Nickel (Martha) and Laurie Thuman (Kevin). Grandfather of Katie, Jacob, Thomas, Kyle, Luke and Joy. Great grandfather of Silas, Cora, Dawson, Khusi, Spencer, Adelyn, Kit, Rosie and Jude. Preceded in death by his siblings Deanna Rose and Dean Nickel.

Larry was a proud Airforce veteran and a dedicated educator and coach for Westlake City Schools for 28 years.
Friends and family will gather from11 am- 1pm on Saturday May 9, 2026 at Jenkins Funeral Chapel, 2914 Dover Center Road, Westlake. Graveside service will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Memorial service Saturday May 16, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 28455 Center Ridge Road, Westlake. Contributions should be made to Young Life, 27070 Detroit Road, Suite 202, Westlake 44145 or A.L.S. Association of N. E. Ohio, 2500 East 22nd Street, Cleveland 44115.
