Bay Athletes Place at Senior Olympics

Bay Village athletes Vickie & Ed McElhiney took part in the Senior Games hosted in Albuquerque, NM, last week.

“My husband and I did our best to represent Bay Village,” reports Vickie. “He was awarded an eighth place ribbon in the shot put. I got a seventh place ribbon in the hammer throw and All American status in the shot put. The competition was fierce with the top four throwers from each state in each age group competing.”

 Over 13,000 participants competed in this national event. “We were very happy to be finalists in three events.” says Vickie.
