Avon celebrated the most delicious event of the year at the Avon Heritage Duck Tape® Festival’s ‘Sweet 16’ over Father’s Day Weekend from June 14-16.
As always, the three-day ‘party’ entertained guests with a parade, silent disco, fireworks show, duct tape sculptures and more. Festivities included:
- Duck Tape Maker® Tent with arts and crafts.
- Life-sized Duck Tape® sculptures on display.
- Delicious food, rides, family-friendly games, live entertainment and more.
- NEW! Thanks to Family Night sponsor Meijer, families received complimentary wristbands (Thursday evening) to enjoy unlimited fun on the amusement park rides.
- NEW! Cedar Point brought a touch of Cedar Point Nights, their annual beach glow party event, with a silent disco experience on Friday.
- Furry friends of the Friendship Animal Protective League were onsite with Bad Company, former lead singer Brian Howe to raise awareness for their cause (Friday).
- Daily musical performances included Bad Company, former lead singer Brian Howe (Friday).
The annual Duck Tape® Parade on Saturday included dozens of unique floats made with duct tape created by local businesses and organizations.
This free, three-day family event began Thursday, June 13 through Saturday, June 15.
The event took place at Veterans Memorial Park in Avon.
