Tai Chi – Simplified
New classes begin January 7th!
Tuesdays at 1 p.m., $5 per class walk-ins welcome
Join instructor Michael Rhoades for fun and easy movement Tai Chi. Slow, gentle movements will help with your practices for good health and wellness. Tai Chi helps improve focus and concentration, relieves stress, increases energy, and encourages flexibility and relaxation. It has been shown to improve symptoms of chronic diseases such as arthritis, fibromyalgia and COPD, as well as improves symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Northeast Ohio Mind Challenge Competition
Westlake Trivia Teams Try-Outs – Mind Challenge, Wednesday, January 22 at 10 a.m.
Do you enjoy Jeopardy, Academic Challenge and Team Trivia competitions? Westlake Community Services is looking for a few teams of six aged 50 or older to represent us at the Northeast Ohio Mind Challenge Competitions where we will be competing against other Northeast Ohio Senior Centers. Join in the fun and help us bring fame (and possibly monetary fortune) to Westlake. Spectators are welcome. RSVP to 440-899-3544 by January 10. If you don’t have a team, you can ask to be placed on one. Free Health Screenings

The Great Courses: Understanding the Mysteries of Human Behavior
The Great Courses is a series of college level audio and video courses. The lectures are approximately 30 minutes long, followed by time for a facilitated discussion. We will provide some of The Great Courses throughout the year. Here are January and February offerings. All courses start at 11 a.m.
