Value World Thrift Superstore Opens 3rd Cleveland Location

Now open! The new location in North Olmsted, OH officially opened with more bargains and quality items for secondhand shoppers.

Value World has officially opened their newest thrift store location at 24869 Lorain Rd in North Olmsted, Ohio. This marks the third Cleveland area location for the thriving family-owned business. The new store is located in the former Kaplan’s furniture building.

Store Co-Owner, Tia Winfield, says they opened the store on schedule on February 21st. “We are thrilled to open the store in this new location. We’ve hired a team of 30 staff and will continue to look for more team members to join us. We’re planning to have a grand opening event for the store once the weather gets warmer.”

The thrift superstore carries everything from women’s, men’s and children’s fashions, shoes and accessories, to housewares, electronics, toys and more. Each day more than 3,000 items are added to the sales floor to ensure there is a refreshed assortment of items from which to choose.

Winfield states that “we have been amazed by the reaction and support of the local community since we opened our doors. We’ve seen lots of new faces and people seem thrilled to have another option for finding quality secondhand items in their neighborhood. We’ve also received a warm welcome from some of the other local businesses in the area. We love collaborating and working with other businesses, especially through our social media channels.”

Value World has two other locations in the Cleveland area at 11900 Detroit Ave in Lakewood, OH and 4639 Northfield Rd in North Randall, OH. They also have ten locations throughout metro Detroit.

Unlike some thrift stores, Value World buys their inventory. They purchase items from many sources, including recycling programs, non-profit organizations, and other retailers.

Since they have been in business, they have helped support non-profits that help veterans, children, and families in need. Their purchases have helped organizations raise more than $50,000,000 in support of their charitable missions. In addition, over the years, they have kept more than 100,000,000 pounds of items from going to landfills.
