Team Avon Eagle Raises $13K for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Team Avon Eagle, led by Avon High School junior Mark Koziy, recently raised $13,629 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2023 Student Visionaries of the Year Program.

Student Visionaries of the Year is a seven-week fundraising challenge where high school leaders raise money and awareness for the fight against blood cancers. Team Avon Eagle reached out to family, friends, classmates, and local businesses to secure donations for their campaign and raise awareness for LLS.

The funds raised benefit the LLS mission: To find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
