Bay Village Homecoming, 2023

Bay Village celebrates homecoming each fall with a traditional parade from Cahoon Park to the high school.

Last Friday’s annual parade was held in fine style, with participants enjoying great autumn weather. Bay’s King and Queen are Sean Cook and Ellie Bennett!

Also honored were Bay Alums in the Euclid Beach Rocket Car and the Class of 1973 – celebrating 50 years since their glory days as Rockets.

The Bay High Marching Band offered rousing music, and many Bay Village school and community groups took part as residents lined the way with smiles, candy for kids and plenty of home-town fun.

The football team then capped things off with a big win over Elyria Catholic. Perfection!

Bay tops Elyria Catholic 23-10 to go to 5-1 this year.

Light the Night

Several hundred walkers joined in at Bay High School Stadium on September 21st for the annual Light the Night Homecoming Bonfire! This is a community event and all were welcomed and encouraged to join in. The walk supports the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s fight against cancer and ends with the annual homecoming bonfire to “light the night.” There were two ways to participate: Purchase a Luminaria or just join the walk and enjoy the bonfire!

The evening was a huge success, raising more than $6000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
