Avon Schools Happenings

Real Money, Real World

Last week AMS 8th graders participated in Real Money. Real World.  This financial literacy program included an interactive spending simulation to educate how lifestyle and budget choices affect you in real life. It was an eye opening experience for our students! Thank you 8th grade teachers and parents that helped make this a success!

Giving Their Time

Avon High School cheerleaders volunteered at Honey from the Rock – A foster care closet in Cleveland last week. A very worthwhile experience for all involved!

On to State!

Avon High School dance team is heading to state! After all four teams qualified at regionals on January 9 they will compete at the state level in Pom, Jazz, Lyrical and Game Day in Dayton later this month!  Kudos to you, ladies!

Making a Mess

Making a mess isn’t always a bad thing. Students at Avon Heritage School enjoyed learning their numbers in a unique and fun way!

On the Slopes

On what felt like a warm spring day last Thursday Avon Middle School Winter Sports Club members hit the slopes for the first time this year! Warmer temps didn’t stop them from having fun. Thank you to Mrs. Neumann, Mrs. Callahan and parent volunteers!

First Place Winners!

Congratulations on three first place trophies!  Youth 3/4, Youth 5/6 and AHS Competition teams swept the board at their competition last month!  Great job, Lady Eagles!

It Takes a Village

It takes a village! Thank you to Second Harvest Food Bank, Avon Middle School student council, Knights of Columbus, Avon High National Honor Society, AHS football team and student/staff volunteers. Look what you did to provide for our community in need! A special thank you to Mrs. Byrson and Mrs. Eigenbrod for their tireless work in helping to provide assistance to those who need it most.
