A 9/11 Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 11 at 7:30 a.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial located behind the Fire Station.
North Ridgeville 9/11 Display & Blood Drive
A display of 25 flags will be on the front lawn of North Ridgeville City Hall from September 1 to September 25, 2026.
A meaningful tribute is beginning to take shape at North Ridgeville City Hall. In recognition of the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, 25 American flags are being placed on the front lawn of City Hall — one for each year that has passed since that day. As the flags go up and our digital sign shares a message of remembrance, we invite the community to take a moment in the days ahead to reflect on the lives lost, the bravery of first responders and the spirit of unity that followed. May this display serve as a visible reminder that even as the years pass, we remember.
A Red Cross Blood Drive will take place on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Vitalant Bloodmobile (7307 Avon-Belden Road).
Twenty-five years after September 11, we continue to honor those who were lost, remember the courage of the first responders who answered the call and reflect on the spirit of service that brought Americans together in the days that followed. This September 11, the City of North Ridgeville invites our community to turn remembrance into action by participating in a Community Blood Drive at City Hall from 2 to 6 p.m. Donating blood is a simple but meaningful way to help someone in need and carry forward the spirit of service that remains such an important part of September 11. As we mark this milestone anniversary, we hope you will join us in honoring the past by doing something that can make a difference today. Each donation can help up to three people. Westlake Historical Society
Please join the Westlake Historical Society on Friday, September 11, as we gather at Evergreen Cemetery to mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and to honor the lives of those who were lost.
We will gather at 8:30 a.m. at the grave of Christina Ryook, a Westlake resident and WHS graduate who tragically lost her life in the World Trade Center.
Since 2004, the Westlake Historical Society has gathered each September 11 to remember Christina and to honor all those who perished that day. As we observe this significant 25th anniversary, we invite members of the community to join us in quiet remembrance and reflection.

North Olmsted 9/11 Memorial Service
25 Years Later, We Remember. Join the North Olmsted Safety Forces on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 9:45 a.m. at Fire Station #1 for a 9/11 Memorial Service honoring those we lost and the heroes who answered the call. All are welcome to attend. Open house following the ceremony. In case of inclement weather, the service will be conducted inside of North Olmsted Fire Station #1. We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
