Neon Heron Craft Studio Opens Its Doors to Bay Village Makers

Marissa Novak Siebert

Neon Heron Craft Studio is now open in Bay Village, offering a colorful, welcoming space to explore a variety of craft and needle arts hobbies without the pressure of perfection. Adults and young makers ages nine and up are welcome when accompanied by an adult.

Located in Dover Commons Shopping Plaza at 660 Dover Center Road, near Dizzy’s Comics & Toys and Emjaez Dance Studio, Neon Heron was founded by Bay Village native Marissa Novak Siebert.

During open studio hours, visitors can work on personal projects or experiment with supplies for embroidery, knitting, crochet, jewelry making, collage, needle felting, and more. The studio also features a dedicated sewing room with machine sewing equipment and a Cricut cutting machine to help visitors bring their creative ideas to life.

Neon Heron also hosts creative gatherings, including Neon Social, a casual crafting meetup for adults, Tween Night for ages 10–13, themed workshops and classes, and private events such as birthday parties, showers, and group gatherings. A curated retail shop features quirky craft kits, colorful accessories, and creative gifts.

The studio grew from Siebert’s graduate research at the Savannah College of Art and Design, which explored how creative spaces can help people build confidence and connection. Her vision is to create a place where people can share ideas, learn from one another, and experience the joy of making, regardless of skill level.

Whether you’re an experienced maker or just curious to try something new, Neon Heron welcomes you to come explore the studio and find your next creative adventure. Visit neonheron.com for open studio hours, upcoming events, and more.
