Since January, Nate Cross has been knocking on doors in Westlake’s Ward 2, listening
to resident’s concerns as a candidate for Westlake City Council.
“I am energized by the opportunity to serve the public, which has been something I have
done my entire life, in both the public sector and non-profit arena,” said Cross.
Mr. Cross is no stranger to Westlake, or Ward 2 — as he has been actively involved in
the community for the past decade, and currently serves on the Westlake School Board.
He is running on a record of dedication to the community; experience in a variety of
public service roles; and responsiveness to those he serves.
In addition to his role as an elected representative, Mr. Cross has served as a member
of the Westlake Planning Commission; served as co-chair of the Crocker Park
Civic Development Committee; served as a member of the St. Bernadette School
Commission; serves as Vice-President of Westlake World Partners Inc.; served as
Founder & Chairman of the St. Bernadette Night at the Races; and served as Founder
& Chairman of the St. Bernadette Community Carnival.
Additionally, as a public administrator with 15-years experience as an Executive
Director managing several charitable healthcare organizations, Mr. Cross possesses
a demonstrated record of public service, having served at all levels of government,
focused on constituent services. He currently serves as the Executive Director of the
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Northern Ohio Chapter.
“My goal is to continue to serve the public’” said Cross, adding, “I’m very pleased to
reside with my family in a wonderfully well-run community such as Westlake, and have
made it a point to support and work with all our city leaders such as Westlake Mayor
Dennis Clough and State Representative Nan Baker, who support and endorse my
campaign effort to become the next Councilman in Ward 2.”
Mr. Cross is a graduate of Cleveland State University, where he received his Bachelor’s
Degree (BA); and Masters in Public Administration (MPA). He has been married for
17 years; has two children and is a member of St. Bernadette Parish, and a long-time
member of the Westlake community.
